Battle of the Bands – Day 3 Recap

Day 3 brought another round of big performances, classic showdowns, and a few tough eliminations as the bracket continues to take shape!

First up, “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival powered its way past Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way.” Both songs came in with strong fan bases, but CCR’s gritty rock anthem proved too much to overcome, marching confidently into the next round.

Next we had a battle of swing and style. Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” stepped onto the stage against Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s “Mr. Pinstripe Suit.” The modern swing revival gave it a strong run, but in the end the Chairman of the Board showed why he’s a legend. Fly Me to the Moon glides smoothly into the next round.

Then came a clash of high-energy rock. Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” took on System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” Both songs brought the intensity, but when the votes were counted, Crazy Train rolled right through the station and into the next round.

And finally, we closed the day with a powerhouse vocal showdown. Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” squared off against Journey’s “Faithfully.” It was a battle between soaring vocals and classic rock emotion, but Kelly Clarkson’s breakup anthem captured the crowd and secured the win.

Three days down and the competition is heating up!
