The last topic for 6th grade math was percent increase and decrease. We talked a little business and how we can’t sell something for the same price we bought it for. They got to decide what their store was going to sell and then do some research on what it would cost them as the business owner and what they would need to charge their customers in order to make a profit and still cover expenses.
On “store day” (today) they had to calculate their purchase prices after various coupons were used. The only way to acquire their purchase was for both the store and the customer to get the same answer.Danica
