This weekend was bittersweet for our Lady Trojans and Flint Creek Titans. Both teams had incredible seasons, finishing undefeated in conference play and both making deep runs into post season tournaments. Our cross country team finished just off the podium with a season full of personal bests and great individual performances. We as a school and community take for granted the success of our student athletes. We have been fortunate to have a history of success on the gridiron, track and the court. It is easy to look back with frustration or sadness upon a season that ends abruptly. It is especially difficult for our athletes who are Seniors and who may not have the opportunity to continue their athletic career beyond high school. It is easy to focus on the result when, in fact, the real lesson and memories will come when reflecting upon the journey. The early morning weight room sessions, bus rides to tournaments, the friends and companionship, the struggles and the triumphs. These are what you will and should remember. All of our athletes represented Drummond in exemplary ways during the fall season. Our schools and our communities are proud of you all, and I am proud to be your Superintendent. Great seasons Trojans, Lady Trojans, and Titans.
